Iron deficiency anemia in patients undergoing chronic hemodialysis who are receiving supplemental erythropoietin therapy
Description

Composition: 
Feroton® is available in 5 mL single dose vials. Each 5 mL contains 100 mg (20 mg/mL) of elemental iron as iron sucrose in water for injection. The drug product contains approximately 30% sucrose w/v (300 mg/mL) and has a pH of 10.5-11.1. The product contains no preservatives.

Indications: 
Feroton® is indicated in: 
Iron deficiency anemia in patients undergoing chronic hemodialysis who are receiving supplemental erythropoietin therapy.
Severe iron deficiency, e.g. after haemorrhages,
disturbances in iron absorption in the gastrointestinal tract,
Marked incompatibility of oral iron preparations,
Iron deficiency resistant to treatment, when the patient can not be relied on to take the tablets, and contact between doctor and patient at irregular intervals.

Packs:
Feroton® is supplied in a box of 5 ampoules. Each 5ml single dose ampoule contains 100 mg elemental iron (20 mg/mL).
